Health Psychology

It is very important to feel secure when preparing for the treatment of health care problems. So the staff at Natalis helps to prepare patients for bariatric surgery, cardiac procedures, dialysis and transplantation, spinal implants, and other medical procedures to create successful outcomes.

We use life history questionnaires, MMPI-2, Million Behavioral Medical Diagnostic scales (MBMD), Quality of Life Inventory (QOLI), and other psychological measures to help determine a patient’s special needs.

During medical events like heart attacks, strokes, transplants, etc., the Natalis staff gives support, evaluates mental status, assesses emotional functioning, and helps the case staff prepare for a successful discharge. Working in partnership with patients is extremely important to us.
