Dr. Searle is a
licensed psychologist and certified Employee Assistance Professional. She holds
a Bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota and is
certified in the area of Early Childhood Education. Dr. Searle received her
Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
from the MN School of Professional Psychology with her doctoral dissertation
focused on reconciliation.
Prior to joining Natalis Dr. Searle worked at Ceridian LifeWorks in their
Employee Assistance Program for the past 10 years in various roles as counselor,
clinical supervisor and as a manager. In her work she provided nationwide
employee assistance to employees of client companies regarding cultural issues,
work issues, parenting, marital issues, eldercare, substance abuse, grief, loss
and crisis issues.
Her internship was done at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire’s Counseling
Service and practicum work was completed at Eden Prairie Psychological Resources
and in the Minneapolis Public Schools.
Dr. Searle uses a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy
incorporating a variety of techniques based on client needs. These include
Cognitive/Behavioral; Solution-Focused; and Interpersonal and Systems Therapy
techniques. The techniques are employed to treat anxiety and depression, stress
management, parenting issues, existential issues, and mindfulness and life
transition issues. In her approach to counseling Dr. Searle focuses on meeting
people where they are at in their life and building upon their strengths. She
enjoys working with individuals of all ages addressing issues as they occur
throughout the life span. |
