Dr. Lisa Johnson is a
licensed marriage and family therapist. Lisa earned her master and doctoral
degrees from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University
– Twin Cities. She has over seven years of experience working in a variety of
environments, including: in-home therapy, day treatment facilities, inner-city
schools, a state hospital, and inpatient chemical dependency units.
Lisa believes that the relationship between a therapist and client is a
collaboration to make positive changes in the client's life. Lisa considers
psychological evaluations an important tool for clarification and as a source to
make further recommendations and in some cases, assist in treatment planning for
individuals. Lisa enjoys working together with other field professionals,
important family members and individuals to ensure that her clients meet their
goals.
Lisa attended the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University
– Twin Cities (Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology; M.A. in Marriage and Family
Therapy) and Minot State University (B.A. Psychology, Minor in Addiction
Studies). She is also certified in Narrative Therapy. Her professional
associations include: American Psychological Association, American Association
of Marriage and Family Therapy, and the Minnesota Associate of American Marriage
and Family Therapy.
