Kathy is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) who has been working
with individuals, couples, and families for over 10 years. She has also gained
experience facilitating support and issue-specific psychoeducational groups. She
holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology through the University of St.
Thomas Graduate School of Professional Psychology and is currently pursuing her
doctoral degree with the goal of becoming a licensed psychologist. Kathy has
worked in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient hospitals,
home-based therapy, and in outpatient mental health clinics.
Throughout Kathy’s education and training, she has worked hard at gaining broad
clinical experiences and developing competencies therein. This breadth of
exposure has allowed her to develop her assessment and intervention skills with
a diverse population of clients. Her areas of interest include working with
individuals, couples, and families on issues related to anxiety and mood
disorders, relationship/marital difficulties, family dynamics, health
psychology, stress management, and psychological evaluations. Her collaborative
approach is grounded in systems/relational, humanistic, emotionally-focused, and
cognitive-behavioral theory. |
