Helen Michaels is a Biofeedback Therapist with Natalis Counseling and Psychology Solutions. Biofeedback therapy and training empowers people of all ages suffering with stress, anxiety, depression, headaches, body pain, and other illnesses by learning to manage their symptoms and redirect the body’s stress response towards one of relaxation.

Helen’s 20+ year career is founded on personal empowerment through the development of healthy communication skills between the body, mind, spirit, and emotions. Her training in Biofeedback, Bio-Spiritual Focusing and Reiki serve to reconnect people with their body’s wisdom in working together towards improved health. This journey begins by developing an attitude of “notice and nurture” what is within.

Helen is an artist and began using art as a healing modality while working at the St. Paul Public School’s SEED Program which serves adults living with a mental illness. During her twenty years at SEED, Helen simultaneously earned her Master’s Degree in Human Development from St. Mary’s University and a Graduate Certificate in Art Therapy from the Thomas Merton Institute. In addition, Helen facilitated individuals in reclaiming their creative intelligence, learning how to understand what their bodies are saying, and designing a gentle approach towards risk taking, self-expression and breaking isolation. She provided art as therapy in diverse art mediums and taught classes on living with feelings, relaxing the body, building self-esteem and relationships, and more.
