Dr. Keller is a clinician with Natalis Counseling and Psychology Solutions. Her areas of specialty include: assessment and diagnosis, individual, couples and family therapy, group facilitation, grief and loss, work with special needs children and their siblings and families, play therapy, and psycho-educational presentations.
Throughout her career, Dr. Keller has had a special focus on child development and treatment for conditions such as Autism, Attachment Disorder, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Depression and Anxiety Disorders, and other childhood development challenges. She’s worked with infant, toddler and pre-school children to identify attachment and developmental disorders. Dr. Keller believes that care-giving relationships are a key element in helping parents help their kids. Early detection and intervention of developmental challenges and mental health concerns by family members, caregivers, teachers and other professionals are essential components to assist with treating emotional and psychological conditions, developmental disorders and attachment issues. She especially believes in helping families to identify their strengths in assisting their child so they can improve overall family functioning.
Before joining Natalis, Dr. Keller worked at Fraser Child & Family Center in Minneapolis - a leading Autism specialty clinic - as a therapist in the Exceptional Children with Communication and Interaction Disorders program, providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and supportive services and treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Prior to her work at Fraser, Dr. Keller worked at Ceridian Lifeworks as a clinical counselor, providing 24-hour crisis intervention and follow-up services as well as comprehensive professional assessments for a nationwide employee assistance network.
In 2004, Dr. Keller received her Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. In addition, Dr. Keller has had internship and practicum experience at several Minnesota institutions, including the Veterans Administration Medical Center in St. Cloud, the Hennepin County Pre-Petition Screening Program, the Family Attachment Center in Deephaven, and the Fraser Pre-School Mental Health Program. She’s worked more than a decade of her career with individuals and families in varying diverse settings covering, assessments, forensic evaluations, individual and family counseling and attachment and play therapy.
Dr. Keller is active in her profession – as a member of American Psychological Association, Minnesota Psychological Association, and Minnesota Women Psychologists. Within her community she has worked with several charitable organizations, including: Immigrant Law Center, St. Joan of Arc Youth Ministry Program, and Cedar Riverside Adult Education Program.
With almost 20 years of educational and professional psychological and mental health training and experience, Dr. Keller is a valuable member of the Natalis staff. |
